Hello dear friends!

Why, can you believe?

The pumpkins are out,

It must be Halloween!

My name is Bertie Goblin

and I'm a happy old witch

who loves to eat candy corn

and a pumpkin sandwich!

I hope you've done some thinking

about this year's costume...

perhaps you'll dress up like me

as a witch on her broom!

Or perhaps something funny

like the little boy from UP -

don't forget your balloons

and silly ol’ Dug the Pup!

Here are a few tips

to make Halloween so fun

because, after all:

having fun is rule number one!

Rule number two:

keep a parent close by.

But don't let them trick you into thinking

they need to give all your candy a try!

Rule number three:

be sure to say thanks

To all the kind people

who fill your candy bank!

Hopefully these rules

are easy enough,

so you can enjoy M&Ms and Skittles

and my favorite: those peanut butter cups!

No matter what costume you wear

let your smile shine bright!
