Do you smell that spooky magic

That’s floating in the air?

I see pumpkins dancing around,

And the witches are ready to scare!

It’s the best month of the year:

spooktacular October, that is!

When we get to dream up crazy costumes

And eat candies that crackle and fizz!

It’s me, Ol’ Bertie Goblin

Here to wish you a Happy Halloween!

And to tell that once when I was little,

I dressed up as a bag of Jelly Beans…

Will you be a hot dog or a parrot?

Maybe a frog that croaks “ribbit”?

A black cat or hippopotamus -

I hope your imagination has no limit!

On the big night, be sure to tell an adult

Where you plan to go.

Smile big and say “TRICK OR TREAT”

…not Ho Ho Ho! (That’s in December, silly!)

Get dressed up! Go have fun!

Make some magic with a spell.

And if there’s chocolate bubbling in a cauldron nearby,

Definitely follow that smell!

When it comes to Halloween delicacies,

I stick to what I know

Reese’s Cups, M&M's, Almond Joys

And ok I'll admit it: an apple to help me grow...

I wish you a few tricks and lots of treats

On this fun and spooky eve!
