H is for Halloween, you know it’s drawing near!

And when the end of October arrives

Why, it’s the best day of the year!

O is for orange…and white and yellow, too

I really do LOVE candy corn

And also shouting BOO!

C is for cauldron, where my magic potion bubbles,

If you’re a kind trick-or-treater,

Your candy load will double!

U is for unique, let that be your guide

Whatever costume you choose to wear,

You should show it off with pride!

S is for skeleton, I love their spooky dance

And wherever you want to trick-or-treat,

Let an adult know in advance!

P is for pumpkin, have you carved yours yet?

Silly or scary faces,

I love their glow after sunset!

O is for October, there’s nothing I love more

Ok maybe two more things:

Reese’s Cups and YOU, of course!

C is for candy, may your haul this year amaze!

And if your parents ask for a piece,

Remind them: only if they behave.

U is for umbrella, for keeping rain away!

Let’s hope you won’t need one

On trick-or-treating day!

S is for silly, it’s the only way to be

When dressing up and having fun

With friends and family!

If you look closely at my rhyme, there’s something you might notice…

It isn’t Halloween

if we don’t shout: HOCUS POCUS!

Love & candy wishes always
